The PL-1236E is a great metal lathe for anyone that is looking an economical lathe that is high in quality and features. Like all Baileigh lathes, the PL-1236E gear head metal lathe has an integrated gear system that allows for taping, turning, and polishing with a range of speeds from 70 to 1400 RPM.
The Baileigh PL-1236E shop lathe is powered by a 110/220v dual voltage system that allows the operator to choose what volatage will suit their needs the best. All ways are ground and hardened to ensure long life.
As far as entry level metal lathes go, this one has all the features of the more expensive models. Features include, three and four jaw chucks, steady rest, follow rest, face plate, live center, foot brake, coolant system, and halogen work light.
